Where is the rain sensor located?
The rain sensor is mounted on the inside of the windshield, usually behind the rearview mirror. It uses infrared light to detect water droplets on the glass surface.
Can a new windshield cause rain sensor issues?
Yes. If the windshield is replaced, the rain sensor must be properly bonded to the new glass with the correct adhesive pad. Air gaps or improper mounting will cause sensor malfunction.
Can I still use manual wiper settings?
Yes. The auto wiper function is separate from manual wiper control. You can switch to manual mode and control wiper speed yourself while the rain sensor issue is resolved.
